About complaining, taking control and being the game changer
Complaining? Fed up of yourself? Read this.

How many people do you know who complain all the time? About their job, their partner, their money, their health, their weight, their life situation... And how many of those same people are actually doing something about it?
Complaining is easy. Taking control is not. But taking control is the only thing that will actually change your situation.
There are two types of people in this world:
- -
The Victim - Someone who lets life happen to them, who blames everything and everyone around them for their situation, who complains but never acts, who waits for things to change without making any changes themselves.
- -
The Game Changer - Someone who takes full responsibility for their life, who acknowledges that where they are right now is the result of their own choices and actions, who focuses on solutions rather than problems.
Which one are you?
If you find yourself complaining regularly about the same things - the same job, the same relationship, the same health issues - it is time to take a step back and ask yourself: am I a victim or am I a game changer?
The Victim Mentality
The victim mentality is incredibly comfortable. It removes all responsibility from you. If everything is someone else's fault, then you don't have to do anything about it. You can stay exactly where you are, with the perfect excuse.
But here is the truth: by staying in victim mode, you give away all your power. You are essentially saying that other people and external circumstances have more control over your life than you do. And that is simply not true.
Yes, things happen to us that we don't choose. Illness, loss, difficult circumstances. But what we always choose is how we respond to those things. And that response determines everything.
Taking Control
Taking control doesn't mean pretending everything is perfect. It means acknowledging what is not working, and then doing something about it.
It starts with one question: What is within my control right now?
You might not be able to change your boss, but you can change your job. You might not be able to change your genetics, but you can change what you eat and how you move. You might not be able to change the past, but you can change what you do today.
Focus on what you CAN do. Not on what you can't. Not on what others have done to you. On what YOU can do, starting now.
Being the Game Changer
Game changers are not people who never face difficulties. They are people who refuse to stay stuck in them.
They ask better questions. Instead of "Why does this always happen to me?", they ask "What can I learn from this?" and "What do I do next?"
They take ownership. They say "I chose this" or "I will change this" - not "this happened to me" or "they made me do this".
They act. They don't just think about changing - they actually change. One small step at a time if needed, but they move.
A Final Thought
Complaining is a habit. And like all habits, it can be changed. Every time you catch yourself complaining about something, stop and ask: what am I going to do about this?
If you are not going to do anything about it, then stop complaining about it. If you are going to do something about it, then stop complaining and start doing.
You have far more power than you think. Use it.
